Completed half of the colorwork pattern and realized I really don’t like the look of 1x1 ribbing for the brim with the orange stripe at the end. Cut off brim and knitted in opposite direction 2x2 ribbing. Also decreased brim to 128 stitches as 140 seemed too loose.

The yarn is definitely different from what I have worked with in the past. I like the rustic look and finding little pieces of straw in it - makes me feel connected to the sheep that provided the wool - but it is fragile and stiff and I hope it softens s bit after I block it.
