Notes

this sweater vest was made using a combination of knitting and crochet. I knitted the waist band rib on size 8 (36”) circular needles in the round, holding the yarn double. After the rib I cast off onto the hook and continued in the round using a lovely stitch pattern where you alternate a sc with a dc (US). When crocheting I only used a single strand of the yarn.
After I finished the main body, I went back with my hook and did a row of sc and then picot around the armholes and neckband.
I was aiming for a vintage looking vest as I couldn’t seem to find a pattern in crochet that I liked, for a vest I made up in my head and my first crocheted garment I am tres happy with how it turned out and would like to make another in green for the fall.
