This is my first project with sleeves and I cannot believe I finished it! The sizes available were too big for me so I did the maths with the help of a yarny buddy and used a dk weight yarn with a size 5 needle. Because of this I had to extend the amount of rows suggested in the garter stitch yoke so it would reach under my armpits. I also made the ‘m1’ just as I usually do, so no eyelet.

I discovered I was doing my yarn overs back to front so the holes in the lace pattern are not so holey. I like that.

I added a crocheted picot edging, along with button loops. The buttons I tea stained and then I stitched a lace trim down the inside edge of the cardigan.

I used 4 skeins because of the hand dyed yarn, other wise I think I could have got away with the yardage on 3.

It fits a treat although I am fretting it will grow. I am not sure I am a fan of the garter yoke as it is so stretchy and next time I will either have to learn magic loop for the sleeves or knit them flat :)
