I love this pattern. Although it is designed for babies 0-6 months, I adjusted the hook size & yarn so that it fit my 3 year old son exactly. I used double strand for the sole (1 cotton & 1 strand of bernat satin) for a little extra cushion & went back to just cotton for around the body of the loafer.

I can’t wait to make these for my 2 year old daughter. I thought girlie colors would be easier for me but I am now looking at my cotton & they are mostly boy colors… drats :-) I might have slight selective perception so I have a reason to go to the yarn store… I’m sure that I will find something. I am going to use charms or trinkets on her crocodile stitching. She loves it on the crocodile purse I completed.
