I started this project with size 1 crochet hook as the instruction suggested. I thought that the head looked a little big and I was having a hard time getting the ruffles right.
I started over with size 7 steel crochet hook and started to understand the “right side, wrong side and project facing you” directions. After that, the pattern took off like a dream. I think that I am going to do another one with the suggested crochet hook because it turned out so cute that a little bigger wouldn’t be a bad thing.
For finished product, I used a larger crocheted heart (the pattern heart is used for the picture) and I used size 10 red thread for the hair & features instead of floss.
