I really like this patter since it has nice details and easy directions to follow.

I made 1 mitt using the 5.0mm hook but it looked too big for the hand I was making it for.

I then changed it to 3.75mm hook but that looked too small - might be good for little girl or toddler. Settled on 4.0mm hook.

The pattern is worked for the top of the owl head down to the cuff. For the cuff I used alternating fphdc (front post half double crochet) and bphdc (back post half double crochet) for 5 rows.

Finally sc (single crochet) around the thumb opening and then slip stitched around again for extra enforcement.

I will definitely be doing this pattern again and again.
