I’ve knitted this specifically with a charity shop vintage suede coat in mind - a red one - very much outside my comfort zone!

I will knit this beret again with some lovely ‘Shetland colours’ that I picked up when I was in Shetland in September (greens/browns/blues). This one is a little big on me, so I’ve performed a bit of surgery: black shirring elastic threaded through the ribbing (it works a treat). So next time I will take a pattern repeat out, I think

NB: there is a little error on the key to the chart - the ‘m1’ should be ‘YO’.
