Couldn’t resist this lovely Icelandic pattern by Hélène. It’s a fairly simple garter triangle with a variety of eyelet stitch panels - really quite easy, although you have quite a lot of stitches on the needle by the end.

I’ve really enjoyed the descriptions of each different eyelet pattern - who knew there are so many variations! And the shawl edging, which is a series of increase rows and decrease rows to give a sort of billowing effect. Perfect pattern, well explained, lots of stitch counts for checking.

The yarn is Icelandic lace weight, with a good colour selection from Wool Warehouse, here in the UK: I’ve really enjoyed knitting with its light and airy handle… a few sections here and there where the yarn is spun a little too finely… but overall, I’m really pleased with it. And I’ve even crocheted (if I can call it that, cough) the little loop at the cast-on point, used to ‘hang the shawl up’ - I love this concept!
