A stitch pattern that could be used to make a fascinator or a shawl. The wrong side shells pop up. There are a few minor errors in the pattern so I’ll include my interpretation here:
Cockle Shell Stitch No. 1
1: Ch 4, 5 dc in 4th stitch from hook.
2: Ch 3 and turn, 5 dc in same st, skip 3 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc on post of ch-3.
3: Ch 3 and turn, 5 dc in same st, skip 4 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc in next sc, skip 4 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc on post of ch-3.
4: Ch 3 and turn, 5 dc in same st, skip 4 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc in next sc, skip 5 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc in next sc, skip 4 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc on post of ch-3.
5: Ch 3 and turn, 5 dc in same st, skip 4 dc, (sc in next dc, 6 dc in next sc, skip 5 dc) x2, sc in next dc, 6 dc in next sc, skip 4 dc, sc in next dc, 6 dc on post of ch-3.
5: Repeat Row 5 adding one shell (shown in parentheses) on each row.
