I knit this Continental style, tho I had to switch to English to make the stitches, just too awkward to M1L and M1R and M1P for me Continental.

Cast On - long tail. Cast Off - Jeny’s.

Thumb gusset - put thumb stitches onto waste yarn, used waste yarn to provisionally cast on (using crochet chain method) the two stitches that would be picked up for the ribbing up the hand.
