I want a light summer cardi, with some lovely pink-ish yarn I have! I love this one (with the wrapping and all), so thinking I’ll try to do it in fingering weight instead of worsted.

Swatch and calculations
Swatch on 4 mm needles, with fingering weight yarn:

Pre-blocking: ca. 22 sts & 34 rows.
Post-blocking: ca. 20 sts & 35 rows.

Pattern finished gauge: 14,5 sts & 25,5 rows.
My finished (blocked) gauge is is 1,38 times the patt. gauge sts, 1,37 times the rows. To hit the correct size, I am multiplying the size I need with 1,38;
-> 43”x1,38 = 59”…

As the pattern only goes up to 53” size, I am wondering if that would be enough?

53”/1,38 = 38” - that’s slightly bigger than my bust size, so I would catch an ease of 1”. It’s better than nothing, I guess… Perhaps I can add a couple of repeats to the body, in order to make it a bit bigger.

First skein didn’t get me as far as I had expected.. I sure hope I’m not going to run out of yarn!!

After doing the sleeves, I got 2x63g left from those two skeins. That’s more than I had hoped for :)
