This is another of my early Kaffe Fasset projects, also from his first book. I made this for child #2 who must have been about 6 at the time. I think I have some photos of him in the sweater but I cannot find them right now. The sweater was passed on to my sister’s children and it just came back to me this week in a box from my mother. It needs a bit of repair work but nothing serious.

The sweater is fairly thick, as it is 3 colors per row. I used worsted weight wool throughout. The sweater is knit from the bottom front, over the shoulder and down the back in one piece, then the lower arms are knitted on after. I don’t really like the way the arms look and I wouldn’t do it again like that. But I do love the outlined star pattern. I’ve got vest going that I will maybe someday finish…
