My cake is 150g, so I’ll be extending this pattern where I can. Starting with the rich burgundy end.

I might have to add in a few beads too. Hmmm. :)

Well, I was completely awful at making posts as I worked on this, wasn’t I?

I am now halfway through the bindoff. Since I beaded all the CDDs in the mesh (and added 4 extra rows of it), I thought a perfect finish would be beaded picots centered on the ribs. To do that, on the final WS row, I kp’d into the rib stich so the picot on the bind off row could be centered.

And, done! I really didn’t want it to get a lot larger, so I ended up washing it and hanging it on my plastic mannequin, Lucille, and letting it dry. I did pull out the picot points, but that’s about it. It turned into the perfect size.

This is one of the prettiest things I have ever knit!
