Notes

Making a swatch stitch dictionary for myself out of slip stitches. In this installment, I will do
F/B (Mock Garter)
F/iF (F Stripes)
F/iB (Cable Stitch)
B/iF (Mock Stockinette)
B/iB (B Stripes)
iF/iB (Inverse Mock Garter)

Mock Garter and Inverse Mock Garter are very similar looking, as are F Stripes and B Stripes. Both Stripes curl a bit. Cable Stitch curls the most at the edges, while Mock Stockinette lays the flattest of all these stitches.

The mock garters look similar to garter stitch but don’t have much stretch like garter stitch. Cable stitch is a good stitch where you want a vertical feel, like in cables or to substitute for plain stockinette. Mock stockinette looks and feels similar to stockinette, but the V’s lay sideways.
