Attempting these in the round.

My plan:
CO 26 - Judy’s Magic Cast On - 13 sts. each needle. -- blue
(This is row 21 on the chart)
2-19-21: So far, so good. Got most of the heel finished today.

From the chart, knit rows 22-39 -- increase 2 sts. every other round on the sole, as per the chart, and 2 stson every round, except for the final round, for the heel.

2-19-21: Working out as planned! Yay!

2-20-21: Place the 49 heel sts on a holder.

Round 40: Used Kristin’s You tube video to use the working yarns to make a long tail cast-on, alternating the colors. It was easier than I thought, and it looks so pretty, like a braid.
Kept knitting the instep/sole sts. to Round 71 without decreasing, as I need a longer foot.
Done for today -- need to plan how to proceed with patterning and decreases:

2-21-21: -- I need a longer foot. It will be too short as written, so I won’t start toe decreases until I finish the second star on Round 71 … then I can start the decreases, as it shows on the edges, as shown on Round 64 (which will be my Round 72).
Round 72: Beginning decreases on this round. Need to chart out how to do this.
Rounds 73 - 83 Decrease rounds to end of toe.
I put a little small patterning on the top of foot/top of toe and continue the sole rounds as per the decreases. First slipper done!

Cast on the second slipper, finished the heel rounds, will add the instep tomorrow and continue onward then.

2-22-21: complete up to round 70 on the second slipper.

2-23-21: Done! Off to give them a nice warm sudsy soak.
