Baseball jacket cardigan in Spider Man colors. This is knit-in-the-round on circular needles from the bottom up to minimize finishing and matching side seams (a quick method, highly recommended!). Body is one piece, putting each section on stitch holders once you get to the arm pit. Close shoulders and pick up stitches evenly around armholes for sleeves. Pick up stitches around neckline for hoodie increasing stitches for a fuller hoodie. Inserted pockets on front. I finished the hood with the seam on the outside for a more comfy inside. This necessitated the cover-up patch on the hood which was received so well, we collected several more for the rest of the sweater. Patches purchased from Amazon sellers “Square Deal Recordings & Supplies” and “mainstreet247”. Many, many thanks to my friends at yahoo group “Socknitters” for their input on applying the patches (even though this obviously isn’t a sock project!)

Update August 16 2011: blocking? what blocking?!
Note to self: whoa with the wrapping paper and block before gifting--- no matter how close you’re shaving it!
