3-6 months so that it fits next winter for Josh’s baby boy (due in late March).

This is my first time knitting a pattern by PetiteKnit. I know that her designs are widely popular. However, I honestly don’t understand the hype. This pattern lacks specificity. It doesn’t have any schematics or drawings to help you understand her directions. It is often vague.

I consider myself an advanced knitter and I often test knit, so I know what I’m doing. But even I am confused by her directions. Perhaps it is a language gap or maybe it is just her style to not be very clear in her patterns. Nevertheless, I won’t be knitting another pattern of hers moving forward unless I learn that this is a fluke and not the norm.

For example the left shoulder instructions say “Pick up and knit X sts furthest to the left along the back yoke cast on edge.” Where is this exactly? There should be a schematic or drawing. This doesn’t even make sense grammatically.

I also really don’t like the fact that she sells each size group as a different pattern and there is no discount if you’ve already bought the same pattern in a different size group. The Ingrid pattern is available as baby, junior, for women, for men, and as a vest. Each one a variation of the same and with a very small size range.

I eliminated the double knitting rows at the bottom of the hem and cuffs and just did a regular lifted bind off in pattern. I also omitted the folded neckband.
