I want another light, comfy sweater. Going to colorblock this in three stripes for some visual interest
MODS: A bunch of people in the projects tab have noted that the construction of this sweater makes it very front-heavy and liable to slide off the shoulders and ride up in the back. Not being a fan of those things, I followed advice to knit straight for a portion on the front so that there was less of length difference between the front and back before joining in the round for the body. Still, the sweater was pretty baggy (as shown in the last photo) so as a finishing touch I picked up 141 sts around the collar with a smaller needle and decreased like this:
- Round 1-3: Knit around
- Round 4: Decrease 8 sts evenly around = 133 sts
- Round 5-6: Knit around
- BO all sts loosely
As you can see, after blocking it picked up slack in the shoulders quite a bit, and is much more comfortable according to my own preferences!!
For the sleeves, I wasn’t paying attention to the pattern and just did my own decreases. The result turned out fine tho!
Cedar House Sapling Sock bloomed GORGEOUSLY and is soft enough to wear right on the skin, which is rare for me! I absolutely will purchase more of their bases :D

About halfway through with one sleeve. Going to finish the black section on the other sleeve and body next.

Finished with the light and dark grays!! Sleeves are both half done, onto the pink for the other half and last portion of the body.

On the final pink section, bound off body (might unravel and knit more if yarn leftover) and working on right sleeve.

I’m trying to use as much of this yarn as possible, so I blocked the whole piece to get an idea of how big it already is. It’s fitting more like a loose dress than long tunic and the sleeves are too long, so I’m going to rip back a few inches on each and add that to the hem for more length. Plan on picking up stitches around the collar in a #2 and knitting a little rolled hem there to make it more secure--even though I followed tips to start later in the increases to cut back on how wide it was it’s still slipping off both shoulders.
