I like the colours, and I love, love, love the pattern - the decreases are so well written to maintain the pattern at the top of the mitts! Easy, and texture-y, not hard to memorize the pattern but not at all boring … a great knit.

But … I needed mitts to go with a fairly dressy long wool coat & my gold cowl. These are a bit too wild since they don’t even look like they match each other! So I think I’ll be doing another pair in a solid brown. These will get worn a lot with another coat, though.

Update: yikes, these are not warm. Too loose. Think I’m going to chuck them in the washing machine on hot and hope they full a bit. If I make another pair I’ll try them with either a bulkier wool on the same needles or something more loosely twisted so that it will create a denser fabric. Breezy mitts just aren’t helpful!
