Using the basic pattern of Emma’s mittens, I used alphabet illusion charts and designed some of my own illusion numerals as well as Chinese characters for the numbers in illusion knitting.

The mitts are for three siblings who all have the initials WK, so the back shows their initials and the palm shows their number in the order born in regular numbers and a Chinese character. I didn’t explain how to see the initials, just gave some clues, so they had fun figuring out which mitts belonged to whom.
