I used a different colour for each tulip, but I’m not happy with how the intarsia turned out - the background colour seems to have too many loose spots near the tulips. I spent a lot of time afterwards trying to weave through the inside layers to tighten things up. Probably if I’d done one colour for the flowers the stranding would have kept things more even. I think Mom will love them, but they’re always going to bug me a bit when I look at the heels!
