I went down a needle size to get gauge. I was afraid of not having enough yarn to finish so made the sleeves 3/4 length … but I ended up with almost a full skein of yarn left over. I wish pattern estimates had been more accurate. If knit from the bottom up these decisions are almost irreversible. I do like how it turned out. Alana Dakos patterns are very clearly written and easy to follow. The oak leaf motif is a bit fidgety to complete but it turns out nice. I think this will be a staple in my wardrobe. The yarn was purchased along an Alaskan Knitting Cruise at our tour of the Sweet Georgia shop some years ago … fond memories.
