Relaxing and easy blanket pattern knitting up pretty quickly. The blanket features a 12-row repeat stitch pattern that creates a reversible, geometric design. Used a long-tail cast on of 169 stitches for the large size on a US 9 circular knitting needle 80 cm length (knitting back and forth on it).

I am knitting this blanket for DD, Liv’s childhood friend, Anna . Anna is getting married on September 23, 2023 and Liv is one of her bridesmaids. We all hope this lovely blanket will make a great wedding present for Anna and Cameron.

About the yarn: DD Liv picked out the Heartland by Lion Brand yarn on a visit to Michael’s. She loved the sheen and color of the yarn. Mom (me) wanted something a little bit nicer yarn but loved it was washable and lightweight for our Louisiana climate. So far the yarn is knitting up pretty nice with good stitch definition, just a bit splitty for my taste. Total yarn cost $26.16.

9/09/2023 Finished in the car on the way to the Saints 5k Kickoff Run. Wedding throw is nineteen full repeats, then rows one through five and begin border. Large size should be twenty-one repeats plus row one through five one more time but the blanket was getting to long in Liv’s opinion. Weaved in ends and blocked.

Finished measurements are 41 W x 45 L Had 70 grams of yarn left over.
