I modified the Run away! pattern for the head of the jackalope, and then used the antler pattern from the Jackalope Toy pattern in Amigurumi Knits. I also modified that pattern too. I came up with my own pattern for the body after a few trial and error attempts I decided to knit it flat. I then knitted some ears, stuffed both pieces with polyfill, added beads for eyes and embroidered the nose. To make the antlers stand up I inserted wires. To finish it I sewed a paper plate into the body and before I stuffed it I stapled it to the wooden plaque.
