I got really inspired by the hexagon blankets of Eclecticgipsy, Gaellou, and Moonstiches, so i thought i’d make my own version of it.
It took me a little while to figure out how to crochet my first hexagon, but by now i can probably do it blindfolded. So far i have in the region of 120 hexagons, and not one is the same. I really like making new colour combinations.
If i ever finish it, i plan to make one set of hexagon-twins before i put them all together. Then i can let people search for the two identical hexagons.

28 juli: all the hexagons are finished, now i have to crochet them all together. all 243 of them…

16 Augustus: i have decided that i am going to make the blanket in a big hexagon shape, so i am making 3 separate diamond shapes, and combining those together. the first two are finished and already in one piece, so now i only have the 3th to go. with a bit of luck it will be finished in two to three weeks.
i think i will also add a black or grey border. i am allergic to white in blankets, so no white.

2 September: I finished! All the hexagons are ready and crocheted together! I am so happy! Somewhere along i made a small mistake, so now i have 271 hexagons, so my blanket is even bigger now than i expected it to be.
I only have to add a border and weave in the million ends, and then its really finished.

7 September: finished! Yay! :)
