My grandmother gave me 2 whole shopping bags full of scraps, mostly acrylic but in all colours, sizes and thicknesses. I sorted out all the colours that could be glass colours,(greens, blues, a little bit of lila, a little bit of yellow, and whites) and started with one triangle. Then i made another against that and another against that one.
I dont know where this will end, maybe in a blanket, or maybe i’ll just get tired of it, but we’ll see. Now i am just having fun with it.
The colours of the second picture are much more like reality. The first is a bit pale.

I ‘m thinking of starting over with this project.
I like the colours and still like the idea, but its not fun to have to turn the whole project every 10 stitches or so, and its gotten a bit wobbly here and there too : it cant be layed flat any more and i really hate to crochet the awkward corners of fear of making another wobble.
I was thinking maybe i should just make tons of different triangles and then crochet them together with black or something like that. what do you think? right now this begins to feel like an ugh…

New plan: i have ironed the thing, and now the wobbles are all out, but i am still going to make a ton of triangles (as you can see in the last picture) and then crochet them on. no black.
i love to see it grow. this project is becoming almost as fun as my hexagon blanket. :)

I am finally crocheting on this one again. Life got in the way.
When it is all finished (which I think will take a while still) I am going to take it with me to the sea, so I can photograph it on the beach.
