This is the first large crochet project I’ve done in a long time; I forgot how much longer it takes and how much more yarn it uses compared to knitting. Also I find it harder to multi-task with crochet and watching TV; I can do it, but I have to pay a lot more attention to what I’m doing to make sure I don’t bungle a stitch. As far as I know I only screwed up a bit on two stitches, but for both of them I was able to cover it up on the next row and the error isn’t visible.

The blocking is drying now, and I think it turned out really nicely! I wish this yarn set was heavier on the pink, and it would have been nice to have one more skein for additional length, but over all I think it looks pretty good.

I think a knitted version of this dress would be really nice. It feels a bit heavy to me, and having even just the skirt portion be knit would reduce a lot of the bulk. Plus, you’d get a lot more bang for your buck on your yardage.
