Inspired by Jan Fearnley’s “Little Robin Red Vest”
To pair with my Little Robin Amigurumi
Using the “Wee Sheep” pattern for the basic form and sizing (if I’m going to buy a pattern, it may as well be adorable ), but the texture throughout is all a custom design. The idea behind it is to look like giant knit stitches, but with some extra visual interest.

Knitting complete! Just need to weave in the ends and block now. I’m super happy with how it’s looking, and can’t wait to see it finished.
Found some weirdness with the pattern, but fortunately I feel just experienced enough now that it didn’t throw me off. Most notably, part of the instructions are missing for seaming the shoulders, so I ended up pulling out the bind-off, switching the slope to short rows, and did a 3 needle bind off instead. I think it looks a lot better and was easier that way anyhow, so good to go. I recommend switching it up to this for anyone else using this pattern.
Got some more progress pictures added— why is red the hardest color to take photos of???

Ends woven and blocked! The pattern really smoothed out nicely. This was a fun one. I hope I’m not too far off on the size!
