These gorgeous socks jumped out at me so I ordered Rachel’s new book and I’m off to the races.
It’s kinda funny. My former mother-in-law’s name is Eula. She was such an evil bitch to me. Maybe I’ll rename them…
2/2: first repeat of chart A.
2/3: rows 1-16 of chart A. rows 1- 34 of chart b. repeats 4 of 14 heel flap. begin with repeat 5.
2/4 completed heel flap and heel turn. rows 35-2 of chart b. begin with row 5.
2/5: gusset decreases completed. through row 14 of chart a. begin row 15.
2/6 finished foot on row 19 of third repeat of chart b. start toe decreases.
2/7 finished first sock. first repeat of chart A and rows 1-10 of second repeat. begin with row 11 of chart a.
82 stitches was perfect for my size, but once i got down to the toe decreases in stockinette, it’s HUGE! the toe is definitely too big. i’m not ripping back because honestly, i’d have to figure out a way to decrease 10 stitches back to my standard 72…
2/8 finished second repeat of chart a (rows 1-16). finished leg (rows 1-34 of chart b). completed heel flap. got through gusset and on to the gusset decreases. completed row 39 of chart b. start at row 40. will decrease heel stitches to a total of 36 instead of 41. figure it will get me a less bunchy toe than the first sock.
2/9 DONE!!! shitty picture up tonight. better pics in daylight tomorrow.
