My first monkey needed a companion, and I was eager to make another :)

He almost looks purple in some of the photos - the first pic is the most accurate!

1/29 - Today I finished knitting the arms and legs. Only the muzzle, tail, and ears to go!

1/30 - feeling much more confident the second time around. There were a couple details that I missed with my first monkey, so I’m making sure to follow along carefully with this guy. I finished the muzzle before work this morning and completed the rest of him this evening. Overalls are underway!

I had so much trouble picking up the ear placement stitches on my first monkey, so I made sure to knit those stitches loosely this time. It still wasn’t easy, but definitely not as difficult as before.

1/31 - monkey and overalls complete! The overalls are blocking overnight; I’ll post some photos in the daylight. I modified the overalls by shortening the bib and lengthening the straps. His overalls turned out to be more fitted.

This monkey is also a little taller and lankier than the first, probably due to a looser gauge and correct stitch count on the legs, haha!
