After finishing the Ka’ana Shawlette (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/erindesbois/kaana-shawlette) I was so pleased that I immediately set out trying to figure out how to make mittens to match. After fighting with Excel for a while trying to chart out a pattern, I just sat down and knitted ‘em.

And yes, they are different from each other. I knitted the left mitten first, and didn’t think the motif was properly sized, so I enlarged it for the right mitten. However, some friends thought that the smaller motif looked better, so I’m just going to leave my mittens lopsided for now.
