Why did I decide to make a HUUUGE colorwork stocking for both my sister AND her husband only two months before Christmas??? What was I THINKING!?

So this one is finished, we’ll see if I can manage to crank out the second one before the big day.

Major issues I had were color dominance.
I tried about four different techniques throughout the pattern. Mainly Icelandic stranded (just hold both strands continental and pick the right color) but it was really slow.
So then I tried holding the main color in the left and the contrast color in the right and super clumsily threw all the contrast stitches, but then the contrast wasn’t dominant.
ARGH!!

So for the second stocking I invested in a yarn tensioner and things are going much better. The tensioner is holding the strands apart so I can pick a lot faster and the contrast color is always held in the back so it’ll be dominant.
