i’ve wanted a tie shawl for a while, but wanted to save doing a beautifully colored danish version for my handspun…

i love masterpiece theater! and when Tess aired, i spent a lot of time lusting after her shawl and wishing i could see the detail better to try to work out a pattern…

no need! someone did it for me! hurray!! i decided to make this a quick project with some knit picks yarn to get a shawl in a hurry i could use this winter. since i’ve been losing weight, i don’t have a well fitting or stylish all round sweater… this will be perfect.

well, it’s been warming up a lot lately. no luck with the idea of wearing this while it’s still cold. i did as many repeats as called for in the pattern and then some (30 so far) and they used a suspended bind off. it was still too tight a bind off and is impossible to wear… i need to rip the bind off back and try again. while i’m at it, i think i’ll add quite a few more repeats, since it is really too small still… even though it followed along right on guage. i think the designer must be TINY!
