Using stash yarn at a worsted weight. I made 6 blocks knitted continuously per column and did 5 columns. I eliminated 2 rows between the blocks to compensate for the mattress stitch that would have been used. I stitched each column with the mattress stitch. I finished off with a linen colored border then a dark denim border, Mitered like the pattern. Each border has 5 garter ridges on the right side. Each side was done individually then sewn together at the miters.
Note: I should have gone down a needle size for the borders instead of using the same needle as the blocks. There is a little rippling but I can live with that.
