I use up leftover worsted for socks, hats and mitts.
The first hat I ever made was “Pentagon Hat” by Anna Zilboorg, which has mega funk factor.
I found it challenging as a first hat, but quickly morphed that shape into a circular version (easier knitting) where the increases and decreases could be done spontaneously and the hat can be eye-balled as you knit.
Love using bright colours, and love that these keep your ears warm with the long brim.
Mitts and socks in Fairisle are so fun! Love picking the colours and playing yarn-chicken with the tiny balls of leftovers.
