The beginning of this pattern is strange and a bit lumpy. For one thing, I have the feeling that I make chain stitches more loosely than the designer.

I was hoping to find a crescent pattern, so I’m softening the triangle shape by having a row of three shells between the centre increases instead of just one. Later this increases to five shells between.

I changed the edging based on the Heron Shawl.

Across the top I used a row of sc, followed by two rows of linen stitch.
