Classic Romney Yarn

I love this yarn. It’s barely spun in places, beautifully soft, and lovely to work with. It has a bit of a thick and thin thing going but only slightly and it had the odd bit of hay.

I think it’s closer to bulky than aran and may have contributed to my gauge being off, although the Aragon Farms website has it knitting up as an aran weight on 5mm needles.

Second hat (red brim) has a cast on of 84 and I started the decreases earlier and did them less abruptly.

It’s still a bit more gathered on top than I’d like; I haven’t quite got the hang of finishing knitted hats yet.
