This is a simple sc hat; starting with 6sc in a magic ring, and increasing by 6 stitches every round until it measures about 6”. Then one straight round and one more increase round to bring it up to around 7” diameter. (7” diameter gives a circumference of just under 22”)

Then keep stitching until it’s long enough to turn up the brim to the level you want!

To reduce holes, when putting two sc into a single sc below (i.e. increasing) put the first one in the front loop only and the second one in the back loop only.
