Double knit (fully reversible) on a bulky KH260 knitting machine, Tension 2. Needles selected on main bed by punchcard, reverse selected for each row by hand on double bed to make it fully reversible. Each edge knit with 2 stitch stripes to maintain integrity of edge (carriage on left: two outside ribber stitches selected, carriage on right: two ouside main bed stitches selected). Made up the design myself for a 24 stitch repeat, punched myself, but there are a few errors in my punching that could not be fixed after the fact. Needs to be seamed at the top edge, and waste knitting (orange) needs to be removed, then it will be blocked and lightly fulled. (Update: finished!) Total weight with scrap cast on, 348 grams. 61 x 79 cm unblocked dimensions. (Update: 323 grams total finished weight without scrap, bound off, finished)

The Kauni came off a private ebay sale, it is much thinner than the Kauni-like Estonian Aade Long green. Both are very wooly, which I usually love, but they are also scratchy, not something I would dream of making into anything except a lap blanket. Both had quite a bit of vegetable matter in the yarn.
