Mods - skipped 1” of ribbing--just used rows 1 & 2 to set up, and started charts. Also, only decreased to 32 st on toe for shorter/wider toe box.

I get all the fuss about Wollmeise, now. The pattern is popping and the barely-there color shift is gorgeous.

ETA: Two years later, these are still my favorite socks. SO gorgeous and comfortable!

2/15/19 - I finally wore a hole right through the sole of each sock! I need to learn to darn…but in the meantime, I’m knitting up something else with Wollmeise. These remained my favorite socks and kept their drapey, fuzz-free beauty for 9 straight years.
