Pattern is not well written, as mentioned by other knitters . Does not specify that the body and sleeves are knit in reverse stockinette, while the back motif is in stockinette. Have to look at the picture to determine that. Also, pattern includes waste yarn in supplies, and mentions removing it to pick up the back neck stitches for the button band; HOWEVER, the initial instructions at the beginning indicate that the MC should be used for the provisional caste on. I did this, thereby making the caste on an integral part of the garment (did not break the yarn and start knitting “fresh”), and could not remove it to pick up sts for the button band. No worries, just picked up the stitches in that section, as if a provisional caste on was not used. Made the back band a little bulkier, but not a problem for me.

This is the first time I’ve had issues with an Interweave Knits pattern.
