I did an extra repeat of rows 4-9 and ended with one more set of rows 4 and 5 before edging. For the last 2 repeats of row 5, I treble crocheted across instead of using double crochet like the pattern calls for. Several other people who have posted about this scarf mentioned that treble crochet stood out more, and I agree.

For the edging, I did a 7 dc shell, sk 2 stitches, sc in next 2 stitches, sk 2 stitches, 7 dc shell, repeat to end. The edging was inspired by this potholder pattern.
