kid who doesn’t wear sweaters agreed to a sweater vest when i described it as “a sweater with no sleeves”

14 oct: now that i’m into the cable a bit, i’m thinking the strands should be 2 sts wide instead of 1? it is going quickly, so ripping back and re-doing the cable shouldn’t be a problem.

16 oct: ripped back and re-did the dna cable. so much better now!

20 oct: almost done; just a few more rows, and then the bottom ribbing. armhole and neckline ribbing is already done. need to finish, wash & block by friday morning. and i had to buy more yarn (sigh).

22 oct: done! blocking now. we leave tomorrow. whee!

26 oct: wore it on the weekend, that extra layer was definitely needed! but really, it’s a bit on the small side. think i’m in denial about my baby growing up. but, all the more reason to write up a multi-size pattern, since i’ll be frogging and sizing it up anyway.
