casting on my umpteenth project, because it is linen, so i figure i won’t want to work on it for long periods. planning on doing the same basic shell as for to catch a thief, but with a v-neck and scarf tie thing. sort of sailor-ish. i don’t know.
19 may - joined second ball over the weekend. this is very slow and tedious. i’m going bottom up, as for the to catch a thief shell, and i’ve just passed the waistline. which means i’ll have to start increasing, ugh.
25 may - have reached the v-neck shaping. lots of knit two rows, rip one row back. the thick-thin-ish-ness of it, combined with the fine weight, the splittiness, and dark colour - it’s all just annoying. it is hard to see what i am doing, easy to make mistakes, and then hard to find where exactly the mistake is, and what it was. meh.
28 may - armscye finally! the end is in sight. although the collar-tie thing will likely take 100 years. at least progress will feel faster for a while.
7 june - so bored with this. ugh. shell is done, one armscye ribbing done. scarf part will be so boring to do. ugh.
16 june - done the knitting! all i have to do is attach the scarf and run in a couple of ends. finally.
12 aug - just won first prize for ladies’ knitted pullover at the fenelon fair! i love this top and wear it all the time, pretending i’m in deauville.
