Doing the basic tube-with-afterthought-heel, with some increases in the calf. Wound the skein starting at each end so I have two connected balls roughly the same size. Thinking the heels/toes in the light grey colour?

CO 64 sts provisional

Work 60 rows

Work 32 sts scrap yarn for heel

Continue working in MC for 24 rows

Next row inc 2 centre back

Repeat every 12 rows till 72 sts

First sock I did 30 rows ribbing but I don’t like how the yarn looks in rib, going to just straight knit the second sock and compare. I’ll frog and reknit whichever sock I like less. Can do ribbing in the contrast yarn I’m using for heel and toe when it gets here.

CC arrived! Ripped out ribbing; work 72 rows of stockinette total after last inc.

Re-knit remaining MC stockinette, finished CC ribbing on both socks. Just heels and toes left!
