Using the notes of 3canpinos and casting on 80 to make this for my daughter.

2x2 Ribbed with size 8, then moved to size 10 for main body part of hat. Repeated the pattern twice then used 3canpinos notes following the decrease to row 10:
Row 11 knit
Row 12 knit k2tog
I then weaved the stitches together more lengthwise then on the round.

It fits nice on my 4-year-old daughter to my desired, slightly slouchy fit, but stretched to fit my head snugly.
