Using the pattern from doctorwhoscarf.com. I tried to use as much of the color recommendations as I could. While keeping with one brand of yarn. I believe some of the colors have been updated since.

I started on Size 5 needles but found it was not as large as described (even taking blocking into consideration). Size 6 worked for me just fine.

I slipped the last stitch of each row knit-wise as recommended on doctorwhoscarf.com. I weaved in colors as described (and video demoed) here: https://youtu.be/gEyQM969XcE . I found this weave in left a large loop of the new color. I pulled the tail of the new color but I will look for another joining option if I do it again. Please note that https://youtu.be/gEyQM969XcE does not recommend slipping the edge and that could be why the loops appeared.

The finished scarf is 13’8” the tassels add another foot to that. about a total of 67862 total stitches.

I re-did the tassels threading them through two threads of yarn instead of just one (essentially the whole cast-on/bind-off row)
