This yarn must be about 30 years old now - so old it doesn’t even appear to have an entry in the yarn database, although presumably it is the precursor of what became known as Rowanspun Tweed. There is no yardage given on the label. Of the ten skeins I bought four are unused.

I bought it to make a cardigan for a friend-of-a-friend who turned out to be significantly less than congenial. Many years later I frogged what I had knitted and kept the yarn in a carrier bag. Now the time has come to use it for something for me. For my upcoming meditation retreat in Scotland.

My unblocked gauge is close enough to that stated in the pattern to go ahead - a boxy construction is very forgiving. It’s an incredibly quick knit compared to the 4ply projects also currently on the needles!
