Note that this pattern calls for fingering weight yarn and I knit with a sport weight

My shawl is huge and cozy!
It is absolutely possible to stop after third repeat of section 2 (if you run out of one color) and still get a big shawl if you use a sport weight yarn like me.

Consumption
Section 1 - 82g of color A
first repeat of section 2-4 - 28g of color B, 39g of color C
second repeat of section 2-4 - 34g of B, 43g of C
third repeat of section 2-4 - 43g of B, 54g of C
border (4 repeats of section 1) - 46g of color A (one 100g skein was used up after two repeats)
