Making quite a few modifications to the original pattern to add a colorwork motif my uncle really likes, inspired by an RRL cardigan that’s no longer produced.

Reversed button band so that buttons were sewn onto right side and buttonholes on left

Worked tubular bind-off for hem and sleeves, but maintained i-cord bind-off for button band/shawl collar

Did not work pockets as instructed. Finished garment without pockets and then sewed patch pockets on later.

This is a gift for my uncle. He’s 6’4” so I knit the cardigan body and sleeves longer than instructed.
